Revit 9

As an arch. office that primarily uses Archicad for design and Autocad for CD, Revit 8.1 was made available for almost nothing by our reseller a couple of months ago. I'm trying to get some good tutorials or books for Revit as the training budget is at absolute zero. I just found out that Revit 9 is on the way. Has anybody seen the new version? Would the R 8.1 books currently on the market (from Aubin et.) be worth using when learning 9.0? It seems by the time the new book is out, another new version is on its way. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Personally, I think most each iteration of Revit add some good features, but generally, it isn't signicant enough that you will need a complete new training each time a new version comes out. I think once you grasp the basic idea, you can just explore Revit and learn by yourself.

You can download a lot of free Revit Video tutorials on the following site to get the basics to some advance.

We've been with Revit for almost 2 years and we still go back to the older tutorials books. So no the older books won't be obsolete.
