initial approach to a client

hi guys, im a designer to a lighting consultancy firm...my boss asked me to experience of getting some high profiled clients here in the Philippines..the problem is that, this is the least of the job that i want, because i hate selling stuffs and services..it's just that im not in to it.

 

yet... i still i want to do it, because it must be!!!

 

could someone advice me or give me some tips on how to approach a new client, coz this is my first..

 

how am i going to set my goals..

 

how am i going to approach companies to merge with them?
