JamesTaylor
you need to use the vray edgetex material, its let you choose the colour of the lines and the solid elements too, you can make the solids transparent if you don't want hidden line style
MegaPixel
Anyone else here missing some Vray materials? I recently purchased Vray 1.47 Advanced and only have 3 Vray materials to choose from - no edgetex, etc...
notamondayfan
i use this hidden wire plugin. u dont have to assign materials to your objs this way. i have never been able to install the plug in "properly" but i have managed to make it work by assign the plugin to an unused key. hope this helps

notamondayfan
copy the .ms file into your scripts folder of max. (doesnt really matter where, but best to put them some where sensible) then inside max, click UTILITIES, MAXSCRIPT, RUN SCRIPT then find the .ms file. it should self install if i remember correctly. then the way i got it to run is to goto CUSTOMISE, CUSTOMISE USER INTERFACE. then under cattogry select ALL COMMANDS then scroll down to HIDDEN WIREFRAME RENDER and assign it to a key you dont use. was a while bk since i installed it, but i think thats how i did it.
