hayden
This WIP is just for fun, but I am looking for any feedback people can give. This is a non-GI render, using spot and area lights with quadratic decay and raytraced shadows. Does anyone have a link to a texture of those office ceiling tiles? This is my first attempt at an interior scene in 3d, so any feedback is welcome. Thanks!
mbowers
Hayden, I'm no master when it comes to lighting so i will leave those comments to someone else. But in the general regard, your room is very dark. Your computers seem to be out of scale. Unless your office is a mile high in the sky, you'll see some grass, buildings, cars, or whatever. Try adding some blinds or curtains and some general clutter items. Other than that your off to a great start.
hayden
after a day's progress... anyone have any recommendations to make this generally better, or more realistic? That ceiling needs something.
mikacool
if you add more detail you can obtain more realism, the mondrian bitmap, the win xp bitmap and the background need more resolution, the floor reflects too much and dont have bump in order to emphasize the unions of the wood and the same one, the ceiling dont have good ilumination and also need more detail mainly to the lamp. the frames off the windows need more detail and use metal texture for it, sinks the frames of the windows in the wall dont leave make shade. in general assigns more bump to the materials that need it. sorry for my english. and continuous working. good luck look that it is an image of the forum(the ceiling) http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13513&d=1145376686
