Google earth model into SU???

Is it possible to get a SU model right out from GE??? Like a downtown area or a building? And then import into SU?

 

I know and have done the reverse, create a model in SU and then import into GE but the reverse???

You can import buildings if you have the kmz/kml file that they are contained in. As for the awesome downtown models that come with GE, I think you are out of luck. At least until someone hacks the program and figures out a way to get that model info in a useful format.

 

word of warning: I imported a rather simple file that I'd been working on, and it took a very long time to import, and I have a pretty robust machine here at work.

I don't know about the legal issues. I looked at the Pro version of GE (about $40) and the Enterprise (if you have to ask, you can't afford it) but neither mentioned being able to export anything in 3D.
