claudioarchi
Hello there, i'm testing LW 9 for the fist time and as an architect i really need to work with eleveations and sections. So i've been trying to import an EPS file in to modeler (version 9) and the softwear fails to doi it (crash). Does anybody know what is happening with this new version and the CAD issue i mentionned? Thank you all see ya
warprat
I have yet to try Lightwave 9. But in 7.5 and 8 I just done the trick I mentioned in the other thread. works fine stick to DXF. AutoCAD: get drawing scale to 1/100000. type sc CAD will ask for reference click once and type r CAD will ask for currrent scale, type 1/100 (or the appropriate scale the default is 1/100) then CAD will ask for scale, type 1/100000 enter. explode the drawing a few times (just to make sure) save as DXF and open in lightwave. that should do the trick. IC
Is the import/export plug in installed for EPS files? Shouldn't crash even if it's not though.
warprat
Is it better to use EPS rather than DXF? well I did have some problems with EPS so I just went on to the next in line DXF.
Jure
Go get accutrans and use it to convert your drawings...
