STRAT Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 that must have taken ages to type only add reflections to objects that you'll actually see them in. why add refs to distant objects like steels and glass up in an atrium where you wont see them? dont just add a reflective material to all the stell/glass in the scene, because thats un-ecconomical. optomise the refs in your scene. also, lower the reflections AA. Devin Johnston Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 If you just using Max you can go to the Raytracer tab under Raytracer Global Parameters and make you Maximum Depth 4 instead of 9; you can also uncheck "Enable Self Reflect/Refract" under the Global Raytrace Engine Options. These two things should speed up your rendering quite a bit and won't affect the quality that much at all. Are you using raytraced shadows in you scene? odi120522 Posted April 26, 2006 Author Share Posted April 26, 2006 oh okie sir tnx..any advice on how to lessen my rendering time in vray? i have to many reflective object on the scene..it is compose of glass and alluminum metals...almost 50% of the scene is reflective...then i have to render it in a big output bec. they want me to print it in a A3 size paper...is 3000 x 2362 ok for an A3 size or is it too big,,,tnx...
