hervelkors Posted April 27, 2006 Share Posted April 27, 2006 newbie in 3ds. doing a test of a mirror but the reflection is very dark. I'm using raytrace material 100 % spec. Is there any way to correct this? I'd also like to know if there is a way of getting blurred reflections with the raytrace material or other in 3ds and vray.. chutti Posted April 27, 2006 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Try using vray map instead of raytrace on your reflection slot. if you r using the vray renderer. you can also blur the reflection by turn down the glossiness on your reflection section like 0.85,.0.65... keep in mind the subdivision amount. the default 50 will take a lot of tome to render. try testing renders on subdivs to 02 - 05.
