blotchy Walls

Hi I wonder if anyone can give me some pointers. I'm about to embark on a vray animation, so I'm trying out a very simple room layout first. I'm having problems with splotchy walls, I've tried fiddling with some sub div settings, but nothing seems to be shifting them, could anyone offer some pointers..... I've highlighted the area I mean on the image.

I'm using Irr Map (medium animation) for my primary and Light Cache for my secondary.

The only light is the one coming from behind the window.

any ideas would be appreciated.
