chow choppe Posted April 30, 2006 Author Share Posted April 30, 2006 thanks for the replies can anyone tell me how to install win xp 32 bit. actually i have SATA1 on my system ...so when this vendor of mine installed xp 64 on my system he did something by inserting a floopy drive and copying the drivers on it i have a winxp sp 2 bootable CD ..in my older machine i just used to run the CD and it used to install on its own,,,,can i use the same procedure while installing in my new machine or will it be a different method Thanks haneet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mtutaj Posted April 30, 2006 Share Posted April 30, 2006 it should install the same way. the only reason you would need the driver disk, is if windows doesn't find your SATA drive when it tries to install. Then you would press F- watch the bottom of the screen when windows is installing. you can press the appropriate f- key and then you read the driver disk for your SATA drive.
