Setting up network rendering?

I wonder if anybody can help me ,I have a PC at home & a LT directly connected to each other,so I just want to render a max scene with a 6cams video post in network vrayrender.does it make sense? If someone can help please in details as network setting stuff is a "godlbedegook" to me

oh! gentelmen, I said I only wanted to render with two computers!! :(

 

someone tell me what to do (1,2,3.......) not all this!! why should I use bakburner? I think it uses a computer as a maneger to the process & I only have two (home pc & a laptop)

no matter 1 or 50 ,, the process of network rendering is same,,,, u should use backburner, couse thats the free one comming with 3dmax, or u can go for highend render q softs,,,,

 

if ur using vray u can do DR in vray,, even for DR u should setup ur drives mapped and all..... there is no other way like plug and render,,, hi hi

You must use VRAY only:

1. Go to Vray-Settings\System: check Distributed Rendering

2. Click Settings... then click Add Server: Enter your Computername (Hostname or IP-Address) then click Resolve Servers

3. Go to your 2nd. Computer. In Max folder, run the file: vrayspawner60.exe

Make sure that you have installed the same Plugins in both of computers.

Do so for the next if you have more

4. Render your scene.
