purnomo_adi
Hi, guys? Is it really a bug or something wrong whenever I assign maxwell renderer, my material editor turn black all my prewview materials?
yog
MAX cannot preview materials in the ME using Maxwell as the renderer. In fact Maxwell cannot even preview it's own preset materials (Diffuse, Plastic, Metal, etc). The only preview that will appear in the material editor when using Maxwell as the renderer are those MXS materials generated in the Maxwell material editor, even here you have to make a preview in the Maxwell ME before it will appear in the MAX ME. mangalore
The only materials that appear in the ME are the MXM shaders according to the Maxwell vers. 1.
ApeiNe
I think that it's better to use the Maxwell studio to work on lightening and shaders  One more prog to learn, but it's so powerfull
AJLynn
You can use Material Editor to do your materials, save them as MXM files and load those in Max, that's probably the best way right now. Double-click to make it preview before saving, the thumbnail will be saved with the MXM and it will show in Max - that's the only way to do it since the preview requires a preview rendering done with RS0 or RS1 and the Max connecivity isn't good enough for that.
