Lexmetz Posted May 1, 2006 Share Posted May 1, 2006 Hello, I would like yo render a Desktop Model using VIZ, but when i assign the materials, they dont look realistic at all, what is the trick to making the materials seem good???, and does anyone know how to add a spanish tile roof to a model in VIZ??? jophus14 Posted May 1, 2006 Share Posted May 1, 2006 The best way to have textures/bitmaps look good are by tiling them to scale and trying not to have too many repetative materials when tiling. You don't want it to look like the material/bitmap is copied over and over again. I hope you understand what i just said. There is a tutorial on this site about creating a tiled roof. Aaron2004 Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 You want to use UVW mapping...go to your modifier tab and add the modifier, 'UVW' map. Uncheck 'real-world coordinates', hit '1'...which is the equivelent to selecting the sub object 'gizmo'. Now scale that gizmo. A more accurate way of scaling would be just using the numbers for scaling in the UVW mapping menu...but I'm a big fan of scaling the gizmo.
