antonio_frias
Hi everyone, I'm considering buying myself a pen tablet for when I'm working with Photoshop (I don't know if it's worth using in Autocad or even if it is possible to use in Max?) I would like to know if anyone out there uses one and if so, what are the best models, sizes etc... Also, I would like to spend less than $200 on it! edub
Wacom tablets were discussed a few weeks ago here: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/16197-wacom.html?highlight=wacom
Sawyer
Also in max you can model in sub poly mode with the tablet and "push/pull". I am using it right now to add detailed berms to a site mesh right in max.

alfienoakes
Getting one on demo, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. The Wacom ones seem to be the main ones here in UK.. and the one to get is the Intuos3 A4 USB tablet as this should be eniugh to allow good movement for 2 screens retails around £250 - £300 UK. If I get it anytime soon, will post a report on what its like...
AJLynn
I picked up a 4"x6" Wacom Intuos3 a while back. It's perfect for using with a widescreen laptop - small enough to go in the laptop bag and about the right aspect ratio.
BrianKitts
We have the Wacom Intuous 9x12 tablets here in our office.... I love it for photoshop work and polygon paint deformation in max, but honestly that's the only things I use the tablet for..... anything else is mouse work. I had a 4x6 in college that was great, but once you get used to having the larger tablet you will really like the ability to make large fluid full-arm strokes in photoshop. It's just like the advice for buying an entire system, get the best you can afford....
