josephus
Any suggestions on best software to use to convert (.avi) animation file to compressed web (USA) video/web format. Need flexibility for options of viewing size and final file size. Right now using Windows Movie Maker which works ok for prelims and does text titles and audio ok, but does not offer any viewing window size between 320x240 and 640x480. Would like something in between...also would like to see max compression to keep file size down.
DennisHolland
Flash video. The studio 8 (flash 8) on2 codec is superb and quality is as good as tv. You can set any size you want > render png 24 sequence > composition in After Effects and export as FLV.

Do we need to upgade to Flash 8 Professional for Flash 8 Studio to have the "tools" to do this? I've not worked with it myself, my son works with me (he is on the other side of the USA), and he used it to create our website, but he's not familiar enough with it to tell me if the Basic version can do this. Dank u veel.
DennisHolland
Hi Josephus, You have to upgrade to Professional (or buy the complete studio 8 package) for all these tools to publish some cool content to the web. Geen dank, succes ermee. Dennis

Dennis Per your suggestion we upgraded to Flash 8 Pro...I'll let my "zoon" figure out how to use it ....I had to ask my "zuster?" what "ermee" meant...now I remember...it's been almost 50 years since we came to the states. Nice expression though, "succes ermee".
