Is it possible to resume rendering MXI?

Hi, guys. I wonder why maxwell render 1.0 can't resume rendering previous state ( I mean current sampling level)? I must render starting from zero again...whenever I load my MXI file...just like in lightscape I can continue the radiosity process starting from my previous state, that's saving my a lot of time render.

I thought there was some trick that allowed this--something to do with cooperative rendering. Try a search for "resume render" at the NL forums.

Just rerender the scene with .mxi output enabled, save the mxi under another

filename and then merge the different mxi's ... that's all.

edit: Nevermind I found it.

I saved out my maya scene as an mxs and used that with the mxi.

(just saved myself 15hours of rendering.)

I've found the way that works for me is to open up the Maxwell renderer and choose 'Resume Render' - if you point it towards the MXI you generated for the first render, it will pick it up where it left off (this relies on the MXI file you made first time having a unique filename, though...)
