Camera path question

I am trying to get a camera to circle an object. If I keyframe the the camera at four different spots around the object the camera moves in a pretty straight line between these points-

Is there a way that I can modify the path or control how sharp of a turn the camera takes at each of these keyframed locations to get a smootehr path?

thx.

in max, draw a circle around your object. Then I typically use a target camera. place that in your scene. highlight the camera. then click on the motion tab, and expand the assign controller. Highlight the position-positionxyz, the click on the ? box just above and select path constraint.

now go down to the path parameters and click on add path and select the circle. Now your camera should revolve around the object for the length of the timeline.

Thanks Mike, that works -

I see that when I turn this circle into an editable slpine that it appears to change the path as well- But when the animation is played, the spline reverts back to the circle.

I guess if I knew I wanted to modify the path from the get go, I could change the circle to the editable spline before assigning it as a p[ath-

I'll play with it later-

thx.

surprise, it doesn't quie work as I expected. THe circle changed int0o spline and modified a bit then assigned as the path reverts back to the circle when the animation starts-

Hmmm-I wonder how to set up some sort of editable path for the camera.

thx
