animart
hello, for architectural viz, the max workflow is faster, and you have very good renders for that.
Logitek
Hi all, I now about the paint effect of Maya which is not included in 3DMax. Wali I know in max 8 you can edit paint your editpolys... You know both are going to be quite similar in the long run... they are both discreet products now. For Architecture, I would definitely go with max. have fun! IC
What do you REALLY want to end up doing? If it's architectural work, then Max is a good bet but for the other disciplines you mention, knowledge of Maya is a good skill to have. If you can, learn both. Studios find that very appealing as they generally use more than one application. See how you find the demos.
