Quote:[Transparency Mapping

1) You need at least two BSDF layers: One (or more) for the texture you want on the visible portions, and one that controls the transparency.

2) In the BSDF layer that will have your texture/s, you need to put your transparency map in the Weight Map slot, and invert it.

3) In the second, "Transparency Layer" you also need to put the transparency map in the Weight Map slot (not inverted).

4) Also in the Transparency Layer, you need to set the transmittance to pure white (255, 255, 255) - anything else will not work. In addition, you should set the Nd to 1 in this layer - otherwise you will have distortion in the transparent areas.

Thanks to: Mihai and others for clarification.]

However, grayscale maps are not working right now so use rgb maps instead. I wish there could be a more simple set up than this one but so far this is what we have to work with. I hope it helps.
