nisus
Hi I don't know what renderer you use, but if you use MR DO NOT use the arch.materials. It's searching prob! ,-) rgds, nisus

nisus
looooooooooooooooooooooool... bascily: the idea is good, you do not need to know materials to get good looking stuff... BUT it does not work that way... they are HARD to tweak and generate A LOT of artifacts... so no go! nisus
abicalho
Which architectural materials are you talking about? MAX 7 comes with Architectural Materials out of the box, there's no need to install any plugin. Mental Ray and Scanline support them entirely without problems. nisus
Hi Alex, Yes the ones out of 7 I meant. I found them hard to tweak: wood did not look like wood, nor did the ceramics or stones, plaster... Hard to tweak the speculars, because they are bound with the refraction index... And there was the black dot issue!! But than again, I also changed my lighting setup completely after using them, so maybe now they would work... Do yo uuse them a lot? Do you have a sample with them? rgds, nisus
