Craig Ramsay
Hi guys, I desperately need to find either models or images of people in a siting pose for a model of a restaurant that I am working on. Preferably the people would be eating/drinking etc. Anyone know where I could get these? They don't have to be free. Cheers, Craig
Ernest Burden III
I desperately need to find either models or images of people in a siting pose for a model of a restaurant that I am working on. Models could mean two thinkg--(1), 3D models of seated people, or, (2) real humans who would pose for a fee to be photographed (and then run up your Amex when you date them). Which do you need? If the 3D kind, there is the age-old 'peopleforpeople' CD, which has medium-quality figure models, though not really posable. There are seated ones in the collection. You can also use Poser to put a set of figures into poses, you can bring you chairs into Poser as a model and put butts in the seats, but it would be a lot of work. And the figures export as a ton of polys. But they will be good from any angle, and you have UV maps to adjust how they look. I think there is a way to 'host' the Poser figures in Max, but I don't know more than it is supposed to be possible. There would be other options...for which I hope other posters suggest. ingo
As Ernest mentioned people for people is a good idea, but it depends on what quality you need and how close you are. people for people webpage

Ernest Burden III
OK, what about the Poser idea? They have several levels of detail. You could buy the program and do it yourself, or perhaps hire someone that uses it (they have an active forum, although its a bit creepy with everybody making fake people and giving them 'lives' to live). Please give more details about your project and what you want to do.
Craig Ramsay
I actually already have poser but I didn't want to have to spend time "posing" the characters and I think the default characters look a bit crappy. The scene is a couple of sections taken through a restaurant showing lighting and materials. My boss wants me to make the restaurant look busy with people Someone else is modeling the resteraunt in autocad and I have the job of lighting, texturing and rendering it in max.
