Zeilveen
Yep, using xfrog, just bought two dvd's with european trees and bushes. Looks good with textures and stuff. Thanks for the forum link. Ronald
nisus
Hi, Good to hear someone else uses Xfrog. Do you also have problems with the mappings when you import the trees in max? Mapping seems to be out of scale and place (branches don't continue nicely) rgds, nisus
Chad Warner
I have had problems with leaves and stuff getting out of place, like their pivots are off from where they should be. I haven't had problems with mapping though.
nisus
Strange, I haven't had your kind of problems. What units do you use? I guess not cm but inches? rgds, nisus
Chad Warner
After clicking on the link you gave, I realized that it was for a plugin for max. I have xfrog 3.5 with an importer for max, so all the tree editing happens in a stand alone program with the trees getting imported into max. This is where I have the problem. I have inches as my units.
nisus
Hi Chad, Only now I realise that you actually make your own trees. We do not have the time to do so. My mapping issues happen with the ready-made models. A simple box mapping of 80x80x80 on all trunks and branches solves the problem reasonably well though... nisus
Zeilveen
Thanks for sharing your info guys, I just havent had time to make my own trees and just use the ready made ones. The ones I've used so far seem to be ok, Ill keep an eye open for this. Which models give problems btw? Can you point out a tree from a library? Maybe I can check that on my dvd's.
