i have tried to make lights for an interior using v-ray

I don`t know the best way to do the lights ?

the other problem is the harsh look allover the image .........!

all critiques are welcome

changes only in hsp sudives down to 20 , sigle frame , high resolution

irradiance map primary & photon map for secondary

all of the light are v-ray lights

thanks alot

I recommend Irr. for 1st and LC for 2nd. The key is to get test renders to go quickly. Therefore, set the resolution low (i.e. around 320x240), set Irr. to Very Low, and LC subdivs to around 150. In the Color Mapping rollout, set Type to Exponential. Then insert one light and tweak other settings one at a time to figure out their affect on the scene. Then insert other lights one at a time. Any light type, standard, photometric, or vray can be used.

Mmohamed,

The image still looks very grainy and blury (like the flowers). I'm wondering what settings you've changed from the default. If I were you, I would start over with the default vray settings by merging everything into a clean drawing. Keep the same settings for the Color Mapping and Environment rollouts. In the Irradiance rollout, change the Current preset to High. After changing the secondary bounce to Light Cache, change subdivs to 2000. In Image sample rollout, change to Fixed rate and 4 Subdivs and filter to Catmull-Rom. Don't change anything else. These settings are quite high but I'm curious to see how much it improves the quality.

Hi

thanks for your reply ( Brain Smith )

i have max 7 & v-ray so i think you mean light map by light cash

well i have already set the secondry to light map

subdives were 150 changed to 2000

insted of fixed rate it was adaptive i have changed into fixed & 4

the filter already at catmul -rom

& irradiance were set to medium changed to high

My pc is rendering now it is very slow ( p4 2.4 & 1.0 Gb ram & 128 mb for vga )

i have to say sorry . before sending the image i take the resolution down & save to jpg & adjust it to medium so that it looks blur

& the wall is already have a bumb map to look harsh .......

thanks alot & i will send the image when finished

& i will try to send the file to your e-mail

i did the all changes & here is the result attatched ( in low resolution ) it looks nice for me

i would like to know if there is anything else of the v-ray parameters to deal with .....?

& if there are any details to add to enrich the image

it was designed as a cinema cooridor or whatelse..

special thanks again to Brain Smith

Best regards for all
