STRAT
great work gone into that video buddy. my main crit is the people - nice job at comping them in, but because the lighting on them completely doesn't match the cg work they look most out of place and super imposed. Charles Gaushell
great work gone into that video buddy. my main crit is the people - nice job at comping them in, but because the lighting on them completely doesn't match the cg work they look most out of place and super imposed. Thanks. I hear you. I wouldn't say it doesn't completely match though. Some are better than others. What happened was the video company shooting the blue screen work so screwed up the background lighitng so it became a keying nightmare and then compromised what wasn't keyed (the people) because of the adjustments we had to make. We had to really mess with them way too much which is not what you want to ever have to do. We were under a deadline and couldn't reshoot but are having a pow wow next week with the video company- ticks me off for all of the time we spent fixing their mess when time was not on our side. Deadline killed us on that issue. We had to replace one of the ladies in the kitchen scene with a Marlin woman because the client decided he didn't want the one actually shot - nothing like having that decision on Friday (yesterday) when it had to be live last night. The shot of the children coming into the living room is the closest, but they made it a bit too hot in some spots. Luckily, people outside of our profession are happy with it and don't have your or our eyes. I just wish we would get more than a month for a project like this. Joys of the biz. We definately had some lessons that we learned and without a doubt, getting live action people to look natural is tough. Thanks again for the observations.
