DennisB
Honestly, I don't have a digi cam right now.. i am currently using one leaf material for all the foliage, the one in max tutorials.. Here's a sample... Try some of the photoshop samples from the Painting Forest Scenes tutorial here. If the free "Tropics" samples are too small, you can buy the full-size versions (4x) for $9.95 and obtain commercial use priviledges as well. These are foliage clusters mostly, although there are some single leaves versions as well. They're floating as PS layers. So, you'll have to make them into textures for use in Max or whatever. To make a texture, simply drag the foliage layer (or composited layers) into a new image. Fill the background with a like color. Load a selection using the default layer transparency. Save the selection. Flatten the image and save. Done.
