Devin Johnston
no you can't, it's been talked about but we've never seen one.
Bongo51
Kippu, Actually most of us feel that the Version 1 release is more like RC6. As for Demo Version.. there would be less angry people and 80% less people buying... so I doubt we will EVER see a demo until the product is at least as well balanced and stable as say.... Lightwave or Max. So... give it 2 years.
leoA4D
Kippu, Actually most of us feel that the Version 1 release is more like RC6. V1.0 = RC6? Maybe, maybe not. Matt Clementson at Cebas's blog site offered these terminology definitions: "I thought I’d also explain some of the terminology used for the various builds (alpha, beta, etc); Alpha = these are early builds, full of bugs and not feature complete. Features get added and/or removed as the team gives feedback to the developers. Beta = these tend to be more stable but still buggy and are generally feature complete (this does not mean that features are locked, they can still be added/removed at this stage). Beta stage is when the manuals tend to get written – but because things are still a little fluid the final product sometimes contains things that aren’t in the manual. RC = Release Candidate. This is the point when features are locked down and it is purely bug fixing from now on. Any new items added to the wishlist at this stage are generally put down for the next release and not included. RTM = Read to manufacture builds. These include everything that ships with the product – ie the manuals and sample scenes. These are large downloads. Bug fixing still happens at this stage but a lot of it is correcting the manual and checking that the sample scenes (some of which will have been built with early builds) still work as expected." After reading that, V1.0 = ?
Devin Johnston
I'd say were somewhere between a beta and an RC at this point.
olbo
Hmm, ... kinda tricky question. Honestly I do not think that they will improve the maxwell RS1+ much more, because priority is RS2 ... So they delivered a weird final to get rid of the problems with banks, creditcard companys and what not. I'm guessing here of course! nb: For me it is in alphastage ... not beta nor RC. But look at daros what he is doing with the "real" alpha, amazing ... it is. take care Oleg
