Ricardo Eloy
Only when you use radiosity. You can create, let's say, a plane and assign an Architectural material to it. Put the desired value for its illuminance and, under the Advanced Lighting Override tab, check "Emit energy".

Ricardo Eloy
Doesn't Brazil have a light material?

quizzy
yep, just check the "renderable" in the light modify panel... but you can ofcourse also put planes in the place of the lights to get more control over the reflections. basically what you do is: -create an area light -create a plane with the same dimensions of your area light -on that plane put a white standard material with self illum at 100 and an output map in the diffuse channel and tweak the RGB value. try it on 8 and render. -if you have lots of reflective/refractive glossy/non-glossy materials in your scene you get those really nice speculars on your objects.. see attachment for result you can clearly see those nice planes reflecting in the cupboard. this is only possible if you set your output higher as the standard 1... soulctrla
Hi, now i know this is Brazil specific but something i found that can work also it to make a geometry apply a Finalrender advanced material to it and then you can ramp up the GI Send of the object and with self illumination on you can get the object to make light. I have done this to create soffit lighting etc. I havn't used Brazil in a long time and as such am not sure if you can do the same thing... its more the principle i was trying to illustrate. Hope you get it sorted man
