Digital Cameras

Recommended Posts

I recently used a clients photo to make a photomontage and the quality of the photo was bad. I decided to buy a digital photocamera, in order to photo the buildings my own, whenever that possible. Are there any suggestions about the models. I usualy make 3200x2400 images. Any help...

I've got the Nikon D70. Try to get a dslr. A good lense is going to make a difference. The point and shoot digital cameras are less flexible. The D70 has a raw image format which is very nice for manipulating the image quality in photoshop. There are several dslr's on the market. I would strongly recommend a dslr if you can spend the money.

Elias,

I've got an eos 350D. a very nice camera that can also take raw footage. But i think you might be better of with a nikon, because if you want to buy extra lensen you have to stick to the kind specially made for canon's digital range. I am looking for a shift lens, but they're really very expensive.

I may be wrong, and will probably be corrected if so, but i believe you can use any kind of nikon lens on nikon's dlsr's. that way you can buy nice secondhand lenses for far less. Again, I'm not completele sure about this but if you're getting a good one be sure to look this up!

I'm a 350D user as well and love the camera. You can't go wrong with either, both are great manufacturers.

As for Canon lenses, all EF mount lenses will work with any digital Canon DSLR, which includes 3rd party lenses like Tamron or Sigma.

What's your budget? The Canon XT (350D) and the D50 are in the same price range, if you can afford a few more dollars than the canon 20D or Nikon D70 are great choices.
