Need help! How can I save a dwg file as an image file?

Hi all!

I need help. I am working on a new project and I will ask the architect of the project about a few details. I'll do it by circling the area (where my questions are about) on the acad drawings and send the drawings to the architect by e-mail. As I don't know to use acad, I want to do that in Photoshop or corel draw. How can I open/import dwg files in photoshop? Or is there any other way of doing it?

Thanks in advance.

When I need to bring my autocad drawings into Photoshop, I begin by ceating a Postscript Printer (usually level 1, but that depends) in Autocad and then I print my autocad file into an EPS file. I then open the EPS file directly in Photoshop. I get very good results with this method. Where you have to be very careful is when you choose your line weights and printing scale in autocad. If your line weights are too big and you open the the EPS file in Photoshop with a small resolution, then the result is not great.

i know two way.

1ST: u can export dwg files to photoshop as a bmp file.

2ND:file/plotter manager/add a plotter wizzard(remember to plot to file)/

when u made one.then:

ctrl+p/choose the plotter name that u just made/choose the acad.ctb in PLOT STYLE TABLE field/then u should choose what to plot.then save it .

this is a way that u make eps files u can open them in photoshop.they have transparent backgrounds.like tga files.very popular for architectural presentations.

hope it would be usefull.

Check for plotter Tiff uncompressed versions, most of the times it works well....:p

to save a file directly from autocad to pdf you need a small app called Acrobat DISTILLER - http://www.adobe.com/products/acrdis/main.html

I have tried several PDF converters over the years. Nothing is easier than simply getting Adobe Acrobat (full version) and printing my paper views to PDF. This is basically what strat is recommending. I say get the full version with all the features.
