Crazy Homeless Guy
is this a problem for anyone else? whenever i use a Vray light material, the anti-aliasing around the edge of the material... well, it does not seem like there is any. technically, i should be creating a separate globe with an object inside that casts light, but the rendering time for the globe often does not fit in my schedule. Ricardo Eloy
I have the same problem...and, sometimes, I get a black line around the light object...Does that happen to you?
Crazy Homeless Guy
I don't recall a black line. I think I have tried to use a Arch material with glow, and it didn't AA either. I think anyway, I will have to check it.
olbo
This happens if you are working with LWF and thus disabled the "Clamp output". You could change the colormapping to a different setting then "Linear multiply" or "Gamma correction", then it's gone. Hope this will help ya. ;o) edit: It's caused through the high intensity, u can do a test yourself, just create a sphere assign a lightmat and next to it create a VrayLight (sphere) then crank the intensity down ... etc. take care Oleg
Crazy Homeless Guy
it makes sense now, even though i don't like it.
sinkman
"sub-pixel mapping" + "clamp output" helped me. thanks!
Ray1618
The black line appears on some of the different Antialiasing filters, area doesn't show it but Mitchell_netravali gives a black line. And "sub-pixel mapping" + "clamp output" works for me to :-) thx
-MerlyN-
nice. didnt know, that subpicel mapping & clamp output fixed it. I always used a workaround by creating a vray2sided material with the light material on the backside and reducing the translucency until its gone...
