first vray render

very nice, but your metal partition looks like a dirty mirror and confuses the whole image. I strongly suggest you get the metal roughend up a bit, and maybe put a fresnel falloff map in your materials reflection map slot.

nice stuff though!

wow, really confused by that reflective surface!

I think it needs a slight warp (large scale) to look natural, and maybe a small scale bump to make the diffusion more scattered? I'd be worried that people would walk right into that thing.

Actually, looking at it again, maybe it's because it has the same illumination level as what it's reflecting?... try turning down the reflection a bit, or lowering the diffusion so it will be a bit darker than the surroundings.

everything else looks really great.

I agree the right 1/3 of the image is pretty distracting, but the rest is cool. I really like the glass on the reception desk, the green edge is cool. Some entourage would help pull it together further.

thanks for all your comments.

i made some changes last night, changed the panel on the right to be frosted glass, have also tried to improve the lights.

Made one mistake by forgetting to turn off the window glass on the right hand side, could some one tell me how to allow GI skylight to penetrate through the glass, so i do not have to switch the object off?

One other minor problem is that my RPC people render with a heavy blur?

regards

David

One more thing..

If you must have people in your image, and its going to be a still, I would reconsider using the RPC people.

If it is an animation, then you can get away with them.. if you use them properly.

If its a still, they will stand out, unless you are really clever with them..

In the background, or at a distance.. not to bad..

if you cannot be bothered with 'effect shadows', a quick and not usually recommended way to fix it is to select your glass geometry, right click and go to properties. Click the 'By layer' box and uncheck the 'cast shadows' box.

As for RPC im not really sure... although i think they have their uses, im not the biggest fan. I would try to look into the properties of the rpc though, both at its own properties, its max properties, and its vray properties (in the same way as stated above). In the past I have rendered out rpc in vray with no problem so im not really sure where to begin with that one :(

Can you post a pic of the blurred rpc?

wow, starting to look nice. You are right about those rpc... unfortunatly they are bringing your whole image down just now.

The glass looks really good although I would be tempted to frost it up even more.... so much that you can only make out rough shapes/colours etc ... Im really like it though!

*edit

Oh and Hoang, its better start your own post than use other peoples! :)
