geardaddy1
Can anyone take a look at this rendering and see what I can do to get some detail into my textures? Rendering in Max 8 with Vray...Have the settings on high and I am still getting way to much noise. Thanks in advance.

Ricardo Eloy
We have a VRay section in the forum. Your thread will be much more visible there.
mibs_studio
Irradiance map set to high, I haven't really got into the custom settings yet...is that what I need to be doing? If that so, it must be you shadow subdiv in vray light, i assume you have put vray light in the scene right? instead of 8 subdiv in the shadow, increase it up to 16 or 32 or between or higher... ShaunDon
Can anyone take a look at this rendering and see what I can do to get some detail into my textures? Don't know if you're aware of this, but V-Ray blurs texture maps more than the scanline renderer, so you need to change the blur setting of your maps from 1.0 to 0.1 or even 0.01 (especially for bump maps). This should make your maps render a lot more crisp. Shaun
