Dario Arnaez
I'm very dissapointed because I decide to upgrade my 3DSMax (to 8.0 version ) and V-ray (from 1.09 to 1.47) now I try to open my old mat Vray library... it crash the 3DsMax. Do you know any solution for this problem? PS: I have installed the SP 1 for Max 8.
Noiré
Sorry to say, but as far as I know there is no solution other than creating your matlib all over again. The reason being major changes throughout the material settings from 1.09 to 1.47. I could be wrong, though. Have you tried opening your materials without vray as the material ed. renderer? Perhaps you can then change your settings to something more 1.47'ish.
MegaPixel
I'm a 1.47.03 user and I've noticed that whenever I import materials from older scenes, their "subdiv" values are 50 plus compared to the default of 8. Do some searching over at vizdepot.com for a newer Vray matlib library from Ollie. It has a fairly large variety of Arch related materials in it to help get you started.
