dvmorris
i am working on this huge forest model with 15 different types of trees, and without getting bionatics easynat and buying all the plants, is there a plugin for xfrog for viz 2006? or, is there a way i can actually convince my office to buy the plants for easynat? oluv
which renderer do you use?
dvmorris
well i use mostly mentalray, but i'm certainly open to change... i hear vray is great. ideally i want to use the bionatics trees for this project, but my superiors refuse to purchase them, so i'm looking at other options to humor them. i have tried exporting obj's and vrml's from xfrogtune, importing to maya, exporting to fbx, importing to viz, but that's so convoluted, and viz gives me an error saying it can't handle fbx 6.0. ? anyways, there must be some better way of doing this stuff. it seems so complicated. Chad Warner
IF you purchase the Xfrog librarys, they come with a .max version of the plant. Also, there is a free plugin that you can download that allows you to import xfrog files into viz.
