kippu
maybe there are a lot of instances? Try changing from static to dynamic in the vray system rollout

jvlive
sorry to bring this up again, i couldnt find an answer in the chaosgrp forums and i cant post. i also get this problem but ive been ignoring it, till today. the line says:"updating instances (seat 27)" then starts counting... wierd thing is i dont have anything in the scene called seat27.... what exactly is 'updating instances'? oh BTW, my scene is small(nothing compared to my normal projects), cuz im just starting it, almost all are editpolys, 2 vray plane lights. max 7.5 and vray 1.5rc2. thanks in advance.
