This is my first go at a vray interior, I got the design from a photo in a magazine. I don't have a model library so i've had to model everything in the shot except for the stools (which i may change) and the tv (i grabed the cad files from bang & olufsen).

Its not bad for a first go.. but I am confused by the light in this scene.

 

What have you used to light it..? It looks like you have windows on the left, but then bright rectangular lights in the ceiling, that are reflecting on the floor.

 

You also have some light flaring on the right hand wall, which looks un real.

 

Have you used GI..? Are those windows on the left..? What have you used to light this scene..?

 

I think with a small change, or correction in your lighting, this would improve 10 fold.

the light is coming in through the sky lights in the roof. with an additional light coming in through the windows.

 

I've used irradiance + light cache for the GI

Why is the light coming in thru the rooflights so intense, yet the light thru the windows, is hardly noticable..?

 

You need to equal the light out..

 

What lights have you used for the windows / rooflights..?

aha nice work for a first time but you have to work more on the materials it would look more realistic if you put some wooden material on that table.Keep on working
