drucey
Hi all, some unbelievable work here, truly astounding. Spurred me on to try and learn 3dsm - and i'm creating an office from existing sketches and blueprints. Just before i work uber hard and try and get something put together, i've added my work so far, and would be extremely greatful if you could have a look, just to let me know if i've started correctly - ie. i'm supposed to do the walls as i have, etc. Would appreciate any comments or hints, thank you
Ricardo Eloy
Hi, James! It would be best if you put a pic of it instead of the Max file. Render as many views as you want and upload them, so we can take a look.
drucey
Hey, thanks for the reply I've attached 3 small renders, just to show you - i literally am a complete 3D starter! Am i doing "walls" correctly? Ie. using thin width boxes? Thank you!
jophus14
3d Max has a built-in Wall option. Click the arrow where it says Standard Primitives on the right hand side of the screen, choose AEC Extended and then Wall. You can now click and drag a series of walls. You can also chose the thickness and height of the walls. It may take a minute to get used to, but it is better then making a ton of boxes. jasonio
Check the videos here: http://www.autodesk.com/us/3dsmax/how-to/2010/ under modelling tab > Work with AEC objects. Quite helpful.
