Tim Saunders
Has anyone ever tried usingBackburnder with both these releases of viz? My workstation is running 2005 for another week or two. We were installing viz07 on some new cad stations we got in so I can use them at night for network rendering. For sme reason I can't get the server to show up in the "network job assignment" dialogue, but it connects just fine in the backburner manager and monitor. Anyone ever tried this with both releases of viz? Is it a compatibility issue? I guess I could wait until I get 07 installed on my workstation to answer that myself, but I thought I would check. Chad Warner
As long as all the computers have the newest version of backburner installed, there shouldn't be any problems. Backburner recognizes which version of the software was used to send the rendering job and launches the corresponding version. My guess is since you don't have 2007 installed on your machine, you don't have the newest version of backburner and aren't able to submit a job with it.
