Dario Arnaez
Hi everyone! Ok... I'm a graphic designer and I'm doing a packaging design. My client want that I show him the product on a reflective floor and a shadow, but the entire image must to be with a white background. I have some experience using the Mtl Wrapper but I always use my material that I call "Invisible floor" for to render images only with shadows... saving with PNG as you know... but now I must to render the reflections! Could anybody say me how can I do it? THANKS
Brian Smith
Do you mean like this...click on this link and select the '3D view' icon. This is a job I did a few years ago for a pedometer company. http://sportsbrain.com/Home/home.cfm?page=productistep&istep=x&us=29.95&cod=CL330#
Dario Arnaez
I guess so. I can't see anything on that popup window, may be because I'm using a Mac... But the issue is simple... a box on a reflective white floor/background. Normally I use Wrapper material (matte and Alpha: -1) and I obtain a nice image of the product with it shadow in alpha channel that I save like PNG. But Now I want the shadow and the reflect on the floor.
gfa2
Can you post an image of what you have so far? That might make this easier. The matte/shadow material has a reflection option.
Brian Smith
Is this what you want?
Dario Arnaez
Yes Brian... Exactly! but rendering with Vray.
Dario Arnaez
This is a good sample but I want the floor reflect the car... for example: or Where you will see a reflex on the floor and the entire background is white.
