Kurt
I am an absolute beginner to VRay, so forgive me for asking (really) stupid questions. I am using the newest trial version of VRay, and trying to make som test renders. Today I have struggled a couple of hours with these problems: 1) Is there any way I can save the Vlado settings? http://www.chaosgroup.com/forum/phpB...ic.php?t=14747 For some reason the VRay plugin resets itself all the time when I switch between the "pages" in the app, also when I try to use the "save presets" function. Save presets seems to equal "reset to default"? I have typed in these settings at least 15 times by now... 2) I really can't find out how to place a VRay light. Under Create>Lights> there are no VRay lights in the menu, just standard, photometric and daylight system. Are the VRay lights somewhere else to find? Or maybe VRay lights are not supported in the trial version of VRay? Or am I misunderstanding the whole consept of VRay lights?
Kurt
OK, I've done some research, and come to the conclusion that my first problem has to do with the trial version. The problem is described earlier on this forum: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/14878-vray-demo.html?highlight=presets I also found the VRay lights. In MAX i searched the wrong "create>lights" menu The dropdown menu at the top has no VRay lights, but the command panel also has a "create
