giraffe
hi friends, this company http://www.3eyegroup.com stole my render "house in squares" and show on their page as if it belongs to them! I write this here for u to check if they have some images from u too. I wrote them a message to remove my image. I cant believe people who do this. for me it is easy to prove they are my images. it is posted in many cgfroums copyrighted under my name. my image was even frontpage on cgtalk. IC
That's terrible. You hear about this a lot and there's a high chance you'll never come across it. You're doing the right thing in spreading the word.
giraffe
yes I wanted many people to hear about it and check thier site if their images are stolen too.
maryam
oh God,they are so confident about their job!!they delivered your image in four days!Elif!
NeonMojo
I had to check it out for myself... I couldn't believe that a "professional" company would try and get away with that. Unbelievable!!
Koper
Looks as if the guys from 3eygroup took the site off-line, I can't enter it. It's pretty amazing wat people would do in order to mislead clients and stab fellow artists in the back
NOOXY
well i've heard of people trying to model an image just like yours but taking the exact image and making it yours on a website..RIDICULUS..the things people do to market their business. IC
I just looked in again. It's working fine unfortunately. Their 'portfolio' varies amazingly in quality. What's shocking is that they are an international firm. It's not one dubious freelancer trying to bluff his way into work.
David Knourek
Im guessing by the wide variety in quality its prob 3 freelancers trying to sound like a big Co. Either way what they have done is unforgiveable and just plain stupid. -dave
giraffe
yes maryam in 4 days!!! another funny thing is that they wrote it is private residence in costa rica! it is a residence only in my imagination and that background photo is ISTANBUL! anyway.... just little time ago I heard from treddi.com that they also stole image of gerets and put on their site. wilky9
It appears that the image has been removed, or I couldn't find it. edit: So, Roman (rdiaz), if we called the Medellin phone number listed on the 3eyegroup website, you wouldn't pick up the phone would you? Quite a coincidence don't you think?
giraffe
what kind of unfortunate situation is it? u also have images from gerets too.
IC
I hate to state the obvious but what you've just done is make it clear to the entire community who did this. I hope you weren't looking to do a bit of networking. I'm not sure 'unfortunate' is an appropriate term for this. You haven't even made a public apology. THAT'S unfortunate. Welcome to the forum. David Knourek
I think this is just pathetic, thinking you can rip off other peoples work and call it your own then come out and say it was an "unfortunate situation"

Brian Smith
Here's a recommendation for a new forum - 'Companies to Avoid'. The majority of us won't remember individual cases like this a year or two from now and future members won't know anything about this.
ihabkal
in their last image, interior of a flat, they list it is in Miami, although it has 3 photos of that asian ruler, I think he is the chinese ruler. I wonder which miami resident would hang the photos of a communist ruler in his flat.
Koper
nicely picked up ihab! that is . maybe we should ask them to send us some screen grabs of their vieports of the work they have done and posted??
Koper
Hey rdiaz, i am taking a piss out of this, because it is funny but also very serious what has happened. Nowhere have I seen any apology to Elif or any of the other members of this forum, thus people will keep making remarks on this thread. but i will get of the wagon:rolleyes:

David Knourek
I think a fortunate situation would be if someone sued guys like this for Copyrite infringments...
Fran
An apology from a thief is worth nothing. I'm sorry this happened to you and your friend Elif.
NeonMojo
So... does that mean you are going to start a new career? Perhaps pick-pocketing? That way you can steal stuff in person and hone your craft...
jackb602
CGarchitect has a very clear policy regarding the use or discussion of pirated software: it will get you banned. I strongly feel the same policy should apply to those who steal the intellectual property of other artists. It's just as clear a violation of the law. rdiaz certainly shouldn't benefit from having "his" work posted in the cgarchitect gallery. Jeff, does the forum policy cover this sitatuation? I know it has come up before. Jack
