mahorela
First of all my sympathies to the guys that have had their images stolen and a big thanks for letting us know. I for one will be watermarking my images from now on, it has been a wake up call for me reading this. I certainly agree that those responsible should be banned and I think it is a great idea to keep a list on this website of those who have stolen images so as they can be avoided by us and hopefully prospective clients. In some ways I think that stealing images is much worse than stealing money or goods, there is just so much blood, sweat and tears that go into them. maryam
I cant believe a company who is designing his web site & trying to establish an INTERNATIONAL arhitectural visualization company, dont know the house in squares belongs to giraffe!! that image has the most hit in evermotion,it was in the frontpage in cgtalk. those guys even have marked the image by their description.its not that easy! quizzy
CGarchitect has a very clear policy regarding the use or discussion of pirated software: it will get you banned. I strongly feel the same policy should apply to those who steal the intellectual property of other artists. It's just as clear a violation of the law. rdiaz certainly shouldn't benefit from having "his" work posted in the cgarchitect gallery. Jeff, does the forum policy cover this sitatuation? I know it has come up before. Jack what do you think??
David Knourek
what do you think?? I agree a ban is in order and a list needs to be made of the company name as well as a person responsible if possible... BUT to avoid abuse, some sort of proof of the theft would be required... -dave

Sindala
What i wonder is what if a client actually gives our culprit a project expecting the amazing quality of Giraffe?? I'm sure he can't deliver at this level. Not only is our offender stealing, he is also destroying his reputation in the clients network. Dumb Dumb Dumb. Virtual Partners
Unbeleiveable! How in the world did they think they were going to get away with it! You're doing the right thing. I'd get on every board and forum I could and let people know. Too bad you couldn't pull a Sanford Kennedy on them! For those of you who remember Sanford Kennedy (he passed away and is dearly missed) ...Here's the short version. Sanford was working for a "large company" let's leave names out. In any event Sanford was in charge of New Hires at this company. He found a portfolio that really caught his attention. He invited the young man in. He met with him in the board room...an impressive layout. Took Him To Lunch and paid. Gave him a tour of the entire facility. Spent 3 hours with this guy. Walked him in to his office where they young man could see several of the stolen images he had in his portfolio where actually works done by Sanford because they were hanging on his office wall. Sanford never said a word, he shook they young mans hand said that it was interesting meeting him and showed him the door. He had to pass by everybody on the way out and they all knew what he had done. You know that expression "You'll never work in this town again". He never ever started. 8-) That should happen to 3eyegroup. Murph

Ricardo Eloy
I just read the whole story on Evermotion. There is a very interesting discussion going on there, and bottom line is: this Diaz guy really thinks he did nothing bad, that he was fooled by a guy who does stuff for him. I really don't know what is worst: being stupid enough to not check the third-party work you put on your web page or being stupid enough to think the rest of the world would believe you on this. Chris Johnson
hi friends, this company http://www.3eyegroup.com stole my render "house in squares" and show on their page as if it belongs to them! I write this here for u to check if they have some images from u too. I wrote them a message to remove my image. I cant believe people who do this. for me it is easy to prove they are my images. it is posted in many cgfroums copyrighted under my name. my image was even frontpage on cgtalk. You are in luck!! I happen to live here in Montreal. Want me to go knock on their door and confront them? [/oh nevermind, I seem to see the party involved has apologized here on this forum.] Oh, I guess I need to change my profile. I'm no longer in Utah Valley.... Chris J. That doesn't make any sense to me. His site should only contain work created by his firm for their clients. Did the guy convince him that Diaz' own firm had created the rendering without Diaz knowing it? Why would he knowingly post work on his site that his firm did not create? giraffe
RDIAZ u didnt give the name of provider to me! I dont know why u say these here on forum. and if u want to clear this out: put my image on ur web site with MY name and write an apology on ur website- that image belongs to me and used on ur website without my permision and knowledge.and keep this on your web site at least for a month! then things can be fair. giraffe
recently I received an email from romandiaz : he is telling that name of the provider is "CARLOS GUTTIERREZ FROM ARGENTINA" also someone named "HERNAN JARAMILLO" from 3eyegroup contacted me. I dont know whose these people are or if these names are real. but I DO expect 3eyegroup do what I said on their web site. I expect them to put may image with MY signature and a note telling that "this image belongs to elif serencioglu and it has been published on our website without her permision and knowledge" and I want them to keep it there at least one month on a clearly visible place on their web! Ricardo Eloy
I did a quick search on the names given. None of them are part of our forum. And, to be honest, looking for a "Carlos Gutierrez from Argentina" is like looking for "John Smith", ie, there must be a trillion people with that name around. Interesting enough, I did find RDiaz. He is part of a Strata 3D forum and has some of his (real, I believe) work there. His work is, imo, just bellow average, so I guess we have a "crime motivation" (I'm watching too much CSI). But, no matter how desperate he is to get work, nothing justifies stealing others' works.
