pradipta
Hi, I am looking for some study material related on architecture. I am not able to find appropriate site for that. Mainly I am looking for articles on Form, Space, Aesthetic value, Functional value, Design principles, Concepts etc.. I would be grateful if anyone can find a good site for this types of articles. Thanks in advance

jackb602
You can't do better than Lessons for Students in Architecture by Herman Hertzberger to begin. It's an exceptionally clear and well illustrated introduction to the language of architectural form. I think you will have a hard time finding good articles online, but there are many great books to be had. I would also highly recommend a subscription to The Architectural Review. Very likely the best architecture magazine in the world, it's another great example of clear vivid writing, and presents some of the best work from all corners of the globe. soulctrla
Maybe im just fractious because i spent 8 years at university but i would suggest some kind of architectural education is a good start. I know people like Tadao Ando who are self taught are exceptional and can cut it as one of the best in the world but id say your best doing some kind of course. I wouldnt expect to learn this stuff overnight either - for me its an art/science which i plan on spending the rest of my life developing and honing. Good Luck a long winding path with many cross roads awaits you. Look at good architecture -this is subjective as design always is. I would look at Herzog Demeuron - Zaha Hadid - Mark Bury - David Chipperfield - Gehry - Glen Murcutt - O'donnel Tuomy - Steven Holl - Consult the masters like Le Corbusier - Mies Van Der Rohe - Check out people like MVRDV for a whacky Dutch approach Check out UN Studio - Foreign Office Architects The list goes on -
