hidden shaders Mental ray

is there any place on the net that a list of all the hidden shaders and how to unlock them all. I am searching for a particular one called color_mi base or something similar to that??

I've recently been looking for the same type of info. I ran across a pretty good forum w/ allkinds of info started by Jeff Patton who appears to be a mental reay specialist. The forum is really long and takes a lot of reading. I still havent got to the part I want to know about yet. Once you are there click on his link to mental ray forum page.

open the MI file in note pad, look for the line that has "hidden" in it. Delete that line as well as the comma at the end of the previous line.

 

This is from Jef's web site, I have not tryed it yet so I suggest making a backup copy of the MI file first.

hehehe justin .... i know you have not tried it ... because there are so many hidden... that i am just perplexed why you want to hide shaders if you put it there in the first place

easter eggs, or future develpoment.

 

Only reason I havn't done it yet is that I am in the middle of a couple of large projects that rely on MR for rendering, just don't want to risk anything just yet.
