Jeff Mottle
Well it's really sad to say, but it's looking like we will be cancelling this year's animation category for the Architectural 3D awards. If I don't receive significantly more submissions in the next 24-48 hours, we will have no choice. I find this really sad given the ammount of really great work I see all the time and the number of emails and posts I have made about this. If you have animations, PLEASE submit them. We can't have a competition if no one is willing to submit! The clock is ticking! http://www.cgarchitect.com/3dawards
Ernest Burden III
My recent work that I might otherwise submit is under NDA, which may be the problem with other artists, as well. Perhaps we need to look at setting the entry timeframe to be from when a piece is made public, not whan its made. It's funny--some pieces are to be released so fast the client calls you daily to point out how 'everyone's waiting' while you rush to complete it, while others are under embargo for months or longer. I also have a still or two I would have liked to enter, but same deal--client begs me not to show the pieces while their client puts together a marketing scheme. Great work--you'll just have to take my word for it. There were fantastic animations when I judged the awards two years ago--the pieces are out there, we know that. It just seems that the politics grow with the scope of the project.
