Looking for a mentor

Hi Guys,

I'm looking, or I think I am looking for a mentor. I'm at a point in my life where I am 30, and I don't know what I want. My future goals seem fuzzy, and my dreams are starting to blend into a grey amalgamation of unknown weirdness.

Even though I think I accomplished a lot of things in the last 5 years, today I feel like I'm lost in my future goals.

I feel so grey that I forgot all the bad things some people did to me in the past and I am ready to open a new page. But I don't know what to put on this page.

My mentor needs to be experienced in life and in our field, and he should have a few minutes everyday to answer my e-mails and give me some advice, although I don't think I will e-mail him every single day I won't be too much of a burden. But knowing he's there helps. 40 years + is good but I had great advice from younger people before so it's not a strict number.

If any of you think this idea is stupid let me know too. As I said I don't know what I want...

i think you're in the wrong forums my friend :) this is all about cgarchitecture, not sorting out personal life problems and issues ;)

i see you're a regular member here. sorry about that :p

i suggest you take a good step back and seriously think what and where you'd ideally like your path to take you. only then can you get advise on your choice

I don't think mentoring people is such a bad idea, lord knows I wish I had some input into my pathway back a few years ago. Having said that I think that mentoring in terms of 3d and archviz is a good idea, however as far as your career goals and life goals go, I think you are looking in the wrong place. I am quite a bit younger than you so in saying this I am not trying to give you advice but I would do some soul searching and figure out exactly what you want.

good luck mate
