Fran
Magnus, those are only two examples. If nearly every post by you on CGA is to admonish people who criticize Next Limit, then you will not be well-received. This is friendly advice and you're taking it as a threat. That is really insulting and unfair.
Maximus3D
How charming.. you keep control on me, i feel like being in a kindergarten when coming to this forum So what exactly do you think those people do to people me ? they're not exactly behaving like innocent white furry sheeps, more like the opposite. The interpetation i do of what you write is exactly the same as the one you do of what i write now, there's no difference whatsoever there Frances. / Max

Adehus
How charming.. you keep control on me, i feel like being in a kindergarten when coming to this forum If the shoe fits... Seriously, though, are you trying to become some strange sort of Maxwell martyr?
Maximus3D
Andrew, no i have no reason to try to be a martyr. Martyrs are created by other people after someone has passed away, not when they're still alive. So is that a hint i'm detecting in your comment or.. ? / Max
ivox3
hey, ....what's going on over here ? lol. okay, ... you two love birds are just stuck in a cage that's a little too small. The people who are slighted have a pretty strong argument for being so, ....expression of their slightedness is sheer human nature. Argument is a natural hobby for the ego. You all do a nice job with it. To stand in the face of something or someone that runs completely cross-grain to your emotional position is indeed a high order. To actually allow them their 'blows' and embrace it is even a higher order. I know that sounds warm/fuzzy, ....it doesn't lessen it's poignancy. There's no right and wrong, ....just the 'isness' of your self and what you create. Consequences always loom with your choice. If someone does a 'low' thing, ....trust me, ......you can't make them own it any more than they already do. Now, .....the NL thing has brought out some nice behaviours in all. So your gonna let that contour your Life? disposition? attitude toward others? Out of friendship I say..............Snap out of it friends. PS. ....hey Adehus. Ernest Burden III
Magnus I really like you, i think you know that. What I like most about you is your somewhat limited vision of things. Its nice to be focused sometimes. Its comforting to be able to simplify the world into more manageable pieces, and you do that well. I'm like that myself, prone to a black and white view of things. I see people as good or bad, I forgive the 'good' ones their problems, I fail to forgive the 'bad' ones for their positives. For example, I got Mike Verta in my mind as a good guy, and have stuck with it, recent behaviour notwithstanding. NL are bad guys. They earned the black hat. However, that is not a correct view of the world, and I think you have made a habit of being too focused on the 'everything is going to be fine' side of the Maxwell story. It may, but it may not. There are many indicators that the NL guys are in fact lying bastards and that Maxwell v1 is going to be the end of the line. Just be a little more objective with your positions. We're all professional and should not take a possible failed product as a personal insult, even if we have invested a lot of time, money and emotion to its success. Bongo51
Gattomanzo: use anything you like, but try to keep everything in context. Everything I say is strictly my opinion. Unfortunately I have no proof. Everything from that time is gone naturally, so you can take my words as they are... that is, simply my experiences from almost a year ago. The crime, though I am no lawyer would be that of the corporation. People on the forums are not commiting a crime by expressing their opinions or even banning people. - I was refering to the very real event. That is, in October of 2005 when the RC1 was released as a final. We were given the "only 1 week until maxwell V1" thing then... when the RC was released and it became painfully obvious that it was even more primitive then the beta the duck blind was down. Then it was... oh, we ran out of time... bla bla bla... BUT they did nothing to change their website. Any non-initiate visiting the website was treated to a brilliant whitepaper espousing the cool features, NONE of the included samples actually were rendered with the final version, and MOST were not even functional yet. Like I mentioned most people couldn't even get it working without setting windows local variables manually. - No... I don't know how many people bought the fabulous vapourware 'Version 1' under false pretenses, but it could have been hundreds. That outdated and blatently misleading info was on that website for at least ONE MONTH. I complained many times but Next Limit obviously was enjoying the cash flow too much to update their website with the most current and accurate information. THAT to me is inexcusable. Though I honestly don't know what the legalities really are regarding international issues like this. - AdamT:.. Sorry, I type quickly... do my longish posts bother anyone else? - Magnus has always been pretty positive about pretty much everything. I don't think he likes negative anything. Sometimes people feel better when they vent. I know there is a lot of venting about maxwell, though, there is a lot to vent about regarding maxwell...so my question is.. do you honestly believe that maxwell is no different then other rendering engines regarding development, stability, marketing and customer service? If so, then you have had an easier time then quite a few of us. But that doesn't in any way invalidate our experiences; be they negative or positive. In the past you have been very supportive of people having issues with Maxwell, what has changed max? - Fran, you are a woman of very few words (my opposite it seems) and sometimes that comes over as curt. Though personally I've always enjoyed your sardonic responses (when they are sardonic that is) sometimes they are wonderfully insightful.
Guest imanobody
Dang Bongo51, one thing is for certain - you're NOT dysleksic:D
Bongo51
imanobody, I'm not sure what you mean by that... but the irony is that in fact I do suffer from mild dislexia. Learning how to spell was a nightmare, and still... I have trouble with numbers and spelling. also known as the yoda syndrom. hehe
Guest imanobody
I was just joking with you. Ok, it wasn't a very funny joke. The joke being that dyslexic's usually have a hardtime reading or writing. You're post being as long as they are shows that you don't have any problem with that, unless you spend a lot of time proofreading them. I have to proofread my stuff several times and it's a pain in the butt - and I'm not even dyslexic... at least I don't think I am. I wasn't trying to make fun of dyslexics. Bongo51
hehe... I don't care... make fun of me if you want. I'm about as anti-PC as you can get. It was more of a pain in the A then anything else growing up. Though it did teach me to use my memory OR ELSE. I figured that's what you were getting at. sorry, I can't help it... I just like to write. Can't spell... but I like to write. You have to admit, it is funny... you make a joke, but in fact you are more on the button then you realize. I'm a huge fan of writing, and sometimes it gets out of hand... help.. make me stop... I can't... the keys are pressing themselves. (sorry that's not dislexia.. that's just insanity)

LOL When I first read that line, .....I'm thinking PC as in computer and I'm thinking, ...."hmmmm, ...lightwave + maxwell', ......that's pretty hardcore PC stuff, ......I don't get it.' Bongo51
Ivox3, huh? You type with one hand under the table? That sounds rather secretive. Oh, and keyboards are only $20... you should get a new one. AdamT
How charming.. you keep control on me, i feel like being in a kindergarten when coming to this forum :)/ Max Hardly. You haven't been banned for expressing your opinion or criticising the moderators. *That* would be kindergarten. Speaking of which....(and it is all about *me*, isn't it? ) I've noticed lately that Tom is being lauded as the architect of AGS glass. Humorously, several people proposd the solution several weeks before it was announced--before the b-team even had access to the new material system. In fact Ernest and I were banned for asking Tom to give us a straight answer on precisely that question. And several days later Tom's brilliant solution was announced. So in hindsight, he already new the answer to our legitimate question but didn't want to spoil the big announcement. Instead of just keeping quiet, he offered a number of his famously teasing replies, which we called him on, and they banned us because of it. That doesn't even rise to the level of kindergarten.
