ah. the AA filters. yup. i use them on a regular bases. together with the AA min and max settings you can save a shed load of render time.

 

they basically give different AA, from very soft and blurry to uber sharp and defined. usefull if animating or bunging out for broardcast, but if it's for basic rendering i'd stick with the AA defaults to be honest. you wont notice much difference.
