Trevor Tizard
Hi, Want to know if there is a way to taper a UVW gizmo in order to get a brick soldier map to fit a splayed window head as enclosed. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Trev
JamesTaylor
i'm afraid not.....you want to use the uvw unwrapp tool.......i like your idea tho would make our jobs much easier for such a common feature. UnwrappUVW seems very overkill for something so little. suppose you could always taper the texture in p'shop first aswell, may be easier
Chad Warner
If you create a regular box, the uvw map it as a box, then apply a taper modifier to the box AFTER you UVW it, the map will taper with the box. The only catch is that sometimes the brick map will get jaggy along the face of the brick, so you have to add additional segments to the box when you create it. Trevor Tizard
Well..............seems my favourite solution is to create a box with at least four segments in each direction. Box uvw map this to the correct scale and apply an fdd2x2 modifier and move the corners. Works great (thanks to Clifton Santiago for that)!
