Make a Spline (Line) to where the stringer runs....

Now select the spline sub-object of the Line...

Activate OUTLINE on the geometry rollout and enter your value (thickness)...

Then apply Extrude modifier for the height.

i'd personally draw and shape a 3d spline in exactly the possition/direction of where you want the stringer to go, in 3d space, then simply loft a rectangle along it using the compound objects loft option

[With loft and with other methods it’s one part goes vertical, other part to wrong side. One part fine, other part turning 90degree. See? And with all methods the same thing. Thx

What is the result.

can you be more specific as to what you are tyring to achieve? IS the image your showing us what is going wrong? If so tell us what you want it to look like or send an example image.

To quote Napolean Dynamite "What an idiot" I should've paid more attention to the the actual subjuct of this threat before wasting space. Sorry.

Maybe its a matter of the loft "banking" along the curve.?
